Dr. Katty P. Ho’s CV (page 1)
PROFILE
| MBTI: ENFP with E(51%)/I(49%) and a very high N(86%); a former “ENTJ” in my early 30s I am a passionate academic psychologist, educator, counselor, researcher, and data analyst, who is eager to not only teach undergraduate and postgraduate students about the discipline of psychology but also reach out to teenagers, parents, and the general public, such that more people can be aware of their need for psychological well-being and how to achieve that. My eclectic teaching, research, work, life, and educational experiences in the USA and Hong Kong have equipped me with a rather broad knowledge base and teaching experiences on many topics in psychology, education, applied research, and practice, particularly in the field of career and developmental psychology and the psychology of teaching and learning. After giving birth to my son (b. 2007), I chose to raise him as a full-time mother for some periods of time during my doctoral study and engagement in volunteer/part-time/full-time research and teaching work. Besides teaching and counseling, my career objective is to design research projects (e.g., literature review and empirical study) to investigate parenting effects on various kinds of short-term and long-term child and adult outcomes and promote its implications and applications. I am particularly interested in creating self-help information to help people, students, and practitioners/professionals understand the science of psychology and its everyday life applications.
